Meet the Staff

Dr. Paquette

Dr. Paquette graduated in1979 from UNC School of Dentistry with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He received a Master's in Pediatric Dentistry from UNC in 1983. His Master's thesis won a national research award that same year. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and serves as a consultant in pediatric dentistry for the Unites States Air Force in Europe and Asia until 1987. In January of 1990 he obtained his Master's degree and specialty certificate in orthodontics from the St. Louis University Department of Orthodontics. His Master's thesis in orthodontics wont the coveted Milo Hellman award in 1991 which is presented annually to only one orthodontist worldwide whose research is considered to have contributed the most to advance the specialty of orthodontics.

Fun Fact:

He enjoys spending time with his lovely wife Jenny and their 4 beautiful girls, the twins Samara and Seriann, sister Delaney and their youngest, Norah.

Dr. Olmsted

We would like to introduce the newest member of our staff… Dr. Matthew Olmsted. Dr. Olmsted is a graduate of UNC School of Dentistry and the UNC Department of Orthodontics. Matt is a native of Greensboro and is the son of renowned endodontist, Dr. John Olmsted. Matt will work alongside Dr. Paquette at the University location. He and his wife are very excited to join the great dental community of Charlotte.

Financial Coordinator (Stephanie)

Stephanie has worked with us before and we are glad to have her back. She's an original "Carolina Girl" and live in Stanley with her husband Matt and a very talkative and busy little boy named Sam. When not in the office, Stephanie loves spending time with her family and friends. She also likes doing anything creative, whether it be decorating, gardening, dabbling in photography or checking out flea markets for neat and interesting buys. during football season she loves to watch The Carolina Panthers and one of her favorites times of the year is March Madness so she can cheer on The Carolina Tarheels!

Clinical Coordinator/Orthodontic Assistant (Kim)

Kim is a Florida native and has lived in North Carolina since 1997. She is married to Justin and they have two children, a girl and a boy Skyla and Wyatt. She finally convinced her mom, step-dad, sister, brother in law and 3 nephews to move to NC in 2008 and is glad to finally have her family here. She enjoys spending time watching NASCAR and cheering on Dale Earnhardt Jr. and on Saturday afternoons in the fall she can be found cheering on the Gators!! She has a love for movies and a "secret" love for country singer Tim McGraw. She can be found every Tuesday night watching "American Idol" - her favorite television show! Kim has been the most organized member of the Paquette Ortho team since 2000.

Fun Fact:

Kim previously worked as a nurse in the U.S. Army!

Orthodontic Assistant (Celena)

Celena is originally from Arkansas, but moved to Harrisburg in 1991. She and her husband Heath have two beautiful daughters named Hannah and Emma. When not at work Celena can usually be found enjoying outdoor activities with her family and is a dedicated member of her church. Celena can be counted on to always "tell it like it is" and has a wonderful sense of humor. She was also a cosmetologist for 10 years so we love to go to her about hair advice. Celena came to work with us as an orthodontic assistant in 2005 and we are so glad she did. We honestly don't know what we would do without her!

Concierge (Melissa)

Melissa joined the Paquette staff in June of 2011, she was born and raised in southwestern Virginia and made Lake Norman her home in 2009. Outside of work Melissa enjoys spending time with her goldendoodle Yankee, you can find them on the lake during the summer or catching a baseball game... Melissa is a huge New York Yankees fan, if you couldn't tell by her dog's name. She loves traveling, music, spending time with her family and friends and being active.

Orthodontic Assistant (Katie)

Katie is originally from Texas and moved to North Carolina in 2005. She is now settled down in a house with her husband, E.C. She enjoys shopping, Nascar and being around family and friends. Her husband works on the pit crew for one of the drivers so she often gets to go to the races. Recently she got her first dog named, Lilly, who (For now) is the love of her life. Katie is a joy in our office ans has been a part of our team since 2006.

Katie was a cheerleader for 7 years!

Orthodontic Assistant (Meredith)

Meredith joined the Paquette staff in December of 2011. She was born and raised in Greensboro where she currently attends school for dental hygiene. In her spare time she enjoys watching Steelers football, staying active and traveling as much as possible.

Orthodontic Assistant (Britney)

Britney has been a member of our team since 2011. She is originally from New Hampshire and has several years experience there in orthodontics. Britney and a group of her friends decided to move to Charlotte and we are so glad that she did. She lives with her boxer Malayla. In her spare time, Britney enjoys watching sports and any outdoor activities. She is a huge New England Patriots fan.

Sterilization/Lab Technician (Jennifer)

Jennifer has been a member of our team since February 2011. She moved here from the east coast to be closer to her mom and sister. She has moved all over the country with her family and loves to travel. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her daughter, Kaylee, and her fiance, Cameron!

Sterilization Technician (Whitney)

Whitney has been with the Paquette team since July 2011. Born and raised in Michigan, she recently made Mooresville home. In Whitney’s spare time, she enjoys dancing and spending time with family and friends. Whitney is the “baby” of our team and looks forward to continuing her education in the orthodontic field.

Scheduling Coordinator (Rita)

Rita, affectionately called by the staff Ms. Rita, has been a member of our team since April 2010. Her calming voice and good-natured personality have made her an invaluable asset to our office. Whenever you call our office, her friendly voice is the one you will hear. Rita is originally from Boone, NC. She is married to Kent and they have 2 biological children, Melissa and Wesley and about 10 adopted children, if you count all of us! She also has 7 grandchildren. During her free time, she and Kent love planting in the garden and spending time with their family members that still live in Boone. We don’t know what we’d do without Ms. Rita.

Medicaid Administrator (Kimberly)

Kimberly has been with us since May of 2010. She grew up an “army brat” and has lived all over the country. Before coming to live in Mooresville, NC she lived in Washington, NC with her husband, David and their 4 children, Jennifer, Sabrina, Shannon, and Wesley. She recently, had her first grand baby, a girl named Kaylee. Kimberly is very creative, and has a talent for singing and sewing. During her free time, she loves camping with friends, and going to the racetrack. Her favorite pastime is being with family, whether it be taking road trips to Busch Gardens, or watching them on the baseball field. Kimberly has been a lovely addition to our team.

Treatment Coordinator (Mandy)

Mandy became a member of The Paquette Orthodontics team in February of 2011. She grew up in Virginia and still loves to visit there occasionally. In 2010, on a trip to North Carolina while visiting a friend, she met the love of her life, Ben, and immediately knew that North Carolina was where she wanted to be. She and Ben love spending time with his children, Katie and Taylor. They take lots of road trips and are constantly on the go. Mandy loves staying active and was an avid athlete in high school and college. She loves volleyball, field hockey and softball. She is a huge Steelers fan! During the summer, she can be found on the lake on the boat or playing volleyball in the sand. We love Mandy and we’re so glad she came to work with us!

Orthodontic Assistant (Heidi)

Heidi has been part of our team since April 2011. She’s originally from Kernersville, NC but moved here in 2010 with her sister, because she thought it would be a good change and an adventure. Heidi loves orthodontics because she gets to see the patients from the beginning to the end and she loves how happy they are with their beautiful smiles in the end. She loves dancing, traveling and during her time off she can be found doing anything outdoors. She has a pit bull named Saedy who she loves like crazy! Heidi has 2 years experience in orthodontic assisting, and we’re happy she came to join us at Paquette Orthodontics.
